Leo Selivan
Leo has been involved in ELT for about 15 years in all sorts of roles: teacher, examiner, teacher trainer, senior teacher and materials developer – mainly with the British Council in Tel Aviv but also Cyprus and Turkey. In recent years, teacher training missions have taken him to Azerbaijan, Armenia, Greece, Italy, Russia, Ukraine and other countries.
Known as Lexical Leo on social media, he has written materials and articles not just for his own blog Leoxicon, but for several well-known publications in the field of education.
His first book Lexical Grammar is for anyone interested in the relationship between grammar and vocabulary. The practical part of the book provides practitioners with a large number of classroom suggestions and activities for making grammar teaching more lexical, and for making vocabulary practice more grammatical. Activities move from receptive to productive and can be used on their own or to supplement and enhance coursebook content.
