I've been a member of Olga's book club from the first book and it's been a wonderful experience! I love the choice of books Olga picks for discussions, the way conversations are organised in the chat, creative tasks, vocabulary games and all extra activities. It's been a rewarding experience that gives the opportunity to share ideas with other club members and to find out new things about books, writers, words, you name it. I absolutely adore taking part in the chat and being a member of such a sophisticated project.

В июле решила присоединиться к книжному клубу @english_yanelena и узнать, как максимально эффективно использовать свое время, чтобы не выгорать. Читаем дивную книгу 'The minimax teacher'. Она небольшая, но полезная. Полно советов по prep activities. То, что нужно для учителя, который хочет дать максимум своим ученикам, но при этом не свихнуться)

Как и куда расти преподавателю в рамках работы со студентами, в общении с коллегами, в отношении со своей школой? Очень практическая книга, поэтому я рада, что прочла её в рамках методического книжного клуба (у @olia.ernst.elt и @english_yanelena): без обсуждений в чате с коллегами она бы, скорее всего, прошла мимо меня.

Had great fun meeting up with the colleagues for @olia.ernst.elt and @english_yanelena book club, discussing 'Developing teacher' by Duncan Foord.
Covered such essential thing as giving feedback, peer support, surviving the teaching-online-issues, taking it to the pub (whaaaat?)
Managed not to rant too much about the book✅

What I like about the reading club Olga has started is the feeling of being a part of the community. Every participant is encouraged to share opinions and have a say in selecting the book of the month. The books vary in genre and that is fun! During the month the discussion is kept alive via telegram channel and by the end of the month all the participants meet online for a more engaging interaction. Olga comes up with a list of discussion questions, warmup activities, interviews with the author that allow to reflect and think critically about the content of the book and the issues raised there.But also everyone is welcome to share thier findings on the book or author. As the participants of the club come from different countries, with varied background and experiences, it makes these meet ups more valuable, at least for me. I like hearing various perspectives and finding common ground. Would love to unlock the secrets of methodological reading club, as I think highly of Olga as of a teacher trainer and believe I can learn some tricks of the trade from her.
